Tip of the Moment:

Bolzano, or Bozen as is it known to the locals, is an extremely interesting town because of its spectacular location and Tyrolean architecture and cuisine, but what makes even more special is that it is also the home of Ötzi the Iceman, a 5300 year-old mummy found in the mountains in 1991. This month, the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, where Ötzi is now lovingly hosted, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his discovery has launched a special exhibition, which will end in January 2012.

You won't get to see this unless you're standing on the roof garden of one of Florence's nicest hotels…

The church of Santa Maria Novella stands out against the brooding rain clouds and high above the roofscape of Florence, revealing the early Renaissance proportions of the upper faςade by the great humanist Leon Battista Alberti. This church has given its name to the city's main railway station located just behind it.

Come visit Ötzi with me this December
